Apartments over B&B every time!
Having a young family we felt
that it might be worth trying an
apartment instead of B&B or
hotel accommodation and what a
pleasant surprise the Atlantis
Apartments were.
The apartment was very well
equipped, modern and spacious.
We also found the owners very
friendly and helpful.
We will definitely be staying
again & we'll be bringing our
swimwear so we can use the
heated outside pool which looked
very inviting even in February.

relaxing time. Pauline & John were very friendly and helpful. The

Stayed
in Apartment 1 with my disabled
husband and the accommodation
was perfect for us. All on one
level and easy access to all
parts of the apartment. Really
good sized specially equipped
wet room. Plenty of room for
wheelchair and even a special
single electrically powered bed
especially good for someone with
mobility problems. Very nicely
furnished and extremely clean.
Well equipped with all you could
need for self-catering and even
had free access to computer
especially for guests. Ramped
access to the apartment. Pauline
and John were extremely helpful
and kind. Very quiet location
but not far from small parade of
shops which catered for all
needs. Good Chinese restaurant
nearby (had excellent takeaway
delivered). Would recommend to
anyone, able bodied or with a

"Perfect Stay"
We had a brilliant 5 day's at
the Atlantis. The apartment was
perfect for the two of us. The
pool was ideal as well for us to
chill out in. We hope to be
going back again and would
definitely recommend it to

Fantastic!!
It was a wonderful holiday and
wonderful service from them
both. The accommodation was
stunning, couldn't of been
better, not far to walk for
anything, chips shop, local
shops and even the sea front,
even though it was our first
holiday that we have had
together it was wonderful

better we will be booking to go
again after Christmas!!! I would

“Best self catering apartment where I have ever stayed”
I have stayed in other self catering
apartments before, but I think this was the best one. Not only was
the apartment very nice and cosy and the house peaceful, but I also
had the impression that the owners, who lived downstairs, would have
been very helpful if we had needed help with something. I find it
hard to imagine that there is a better choice for self catering in

Fantastic! New mattresses are heavenly. The apartment was so clean

The website was very informative -
prices, facilities, availability and pictures of the rooms. A bin
for glass/bottles?

Unfortunately the local council do not collect
glass/bottles. The local car parks and supermarkets have recycling
facilities for glass & we have a box by the bins so we can take it
for recycling.
Overall the apartment was good. However,
we would have like a better mattress (DONE-
See above) more room around the toilet and bigger towels. Mr

refurbished in December there will be a new kitchen and new shower
room. New linen and towels will be in the apartments from Easter.)
Being two 'old codgers' we did miss
having a conventional oven. We would rather have an oven than a
dishwasher.

Mattress too lumpy and thin
(DONE- See above) Shower unit no use
for disabled people, not flexible enough and unable to control water
temperature. A separate tumble dryer would not go a miss. Mr & Mrs

We have 2 other
apartments which are accessible and have shower attachments which
are movable. All the showers have a control to adjust the
temperature. Unfortunately it is not possible to install a separate
tumble dryer as the washing machine in this apartment has a tumble
dryer. I wish we had been made aware of any problems with the shower
during the stay and we could have rectified any problems.

I thought I would take
the opportunity to comment on the high quality of service I have
been receiving during my stay in South Devon. I have spent the past 2
months in Torquay for work - and been staying at the Atlantis
Holiday Apartments.
I must say - the
friendliness, attentiveness and customer focused attitude has been
very pleasing.
I am a hardened
traveller - for work and pleasure, travelling to over 35 countries
in the past 5 years, working and travelling through-out the UK
staying at all types of hotels, B&B's, apartments, Penzions. The service I have
received at Atlantis has got to be some of the best in the UK, and
very high by world standards. Mr G.E. London
We initially stayed for only a few days, four
years ago, to break our journey to Cornwall, but were so impressed
that we have returned many times since, three or four times a
year. Every time we visit, more changes and improvements have been
made to the facilities on offer for the comfort of the guests.
Although we do not need it ourselves, we have been impressed by the
accommodation for the disabled.
Since we first stayed at the apartments a
swimming pool has been built, accommodation updated and a relaxing
garden created, all for the convenience and enjoyment of the
guests. The standard of cleanliness at the apartments has always
been very high. Pauline and John are always on hand with any help
and information needed, and have a really good knowledge of the area
which they are able to pass on, this has been very useful to us. On
each visit, we have arrived to find a small gift in our apartment,
i.e., a bottle of wine, apple juice or a local mug or shopping bag. These are really lovely holiday apartments with
friendly and helpful proprietors which we would highly recommend.

been visiting the Atlantis on a regular basis since 2003. Apart from
the excellent standard of accommodation, we have been repeat
visitors because of the friendly welcome we have always received
from Pauline. She is always ready to help out with information and
deals with problems cheerfully.

have been going to Atlantis for 4 summers now and it has been
excellent every time!! The
accommodation is so comfortable, and they have been doing so many
improvements in that time it is amazing!!
There
are some lovely sights, restaurants, shops and places to visit and
the swimming pool is excellent, even better this year because they
built a cover over it. This made it nice and relaxing even when
going in there in the day time, it was nice and quiet!!
Pauline and her family have worked very hard on the building and we
have always stayed in
the garden apartment, and also seen some
amazing redevelopments to it!!

As a disabled traveller I experienced severe
difficulties in finding accommodation in Torquay.
Even the big hotel
chains are unable to provide true disabled accommodation. So called
accessible rooms have the shower above the bath and a wheelchair
user is expected to climb in the bath and have a shower standing.
Others have no grip rails and no seating in the shower, just a
normal shower. Having called around 20 hotels unsuccessfully and
feeling very bad due to this rampant disability discrimination, I
finally found Atlantis Holiday Apartments.
The lady answering the
telephone - Pauline Roberts could not have been kinder,
understanding and helpful. She could offer not one but two rooms.
Walk in shower, stair lift even an electric bed. I booked one room
straight away.
When we arrived John and Pauline welcomed us as
if we had known them for years. The apartment had everything you
could wish for, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, TV, video,
Freeview and more. The room was lovely and clean the equipment
equally clean. We had a lovely time and can highly recommend the
Atlantis to any traveller. Disabled or not.

After many hours looking for
the right accommodation on the internet we were so pleased when we
finally found a place suitable for us both.When you are disabled it is
vital that you find the right accommodation that is user friendly
and at a fair price which is exactly what we found when we arrived.
The apartment was very well
laid out and assessable for the wheel chair. It was very comfortable
and had everything we needed for our two weeks stay. The shower room was excellent
and the overall accommodation was of a very high standard. I would
definitely recommend the Atlantis to anyone else and will
be looking to return sometime in the future.
In fact my son in law was so
impressed he is also looking to have a holiday with his family
sometime in the future as well. Many thanks for all your help
during our stay and we look forward to staying with you sometime in
the future.
